So ready for summer

So the Sick Monster has yet to leave our house! I will be lysoling everything again today! We have been washing hands and using Hand Sanitizer like it is our ft Job!!

Tegan was sick this weekend which was extremely hard since Eddie and I went to Council Bluffs to work at a race track for the weekend. Luckily it was only 2 hours from our house to the track.

I made her a doctors appt for yesterday but then canceled it because by late afternoon she was a totally different child! She enjoyed the warm weather along with all of us at the park. The walk did us all some good! She needs the sunshine for some Vit. D and daddy and mommy need it to get rid of these spare tires we have acquired over winter!

And now I am getting a sore throat :( I hope things will get healthier around here! Or I may go nuts!!

Whats wrong?!?!?!

The past 2 nights Tegan has woke up by 11 or refused to go to sleep until 11 or later and before falling asleep she screams uncontrollably until she finally pukes all over. I don't know if it is because of the cereal in her bottle... or if she has an ear infection (and its friday night ugh) or what but it is really trying both Eddie and my nerves and sanity! I hate hearing these blood curtling screams come from my princess. She has had a cough the last few days and a few days ago she puked all night but idk if that was from her cough or from a cold??

All i want is happiness and health for this little girl but it is so hard to be a mommy to such a independent and stubborn little girl!!

Come on spring and summer with your warm days and your sun shine! We need the warmth to get rid of this ick in our house!!

Growing Girl

Tegan is growing growing growing!!! I hate that she is growing up and getting to be such a big girl!! But I love watching her grow and become such an independent little woman!! On Monday she started sitting up by herself! She can sit up alone for about 2 minutes before her bubble butt makes her fall over :)

And today she started sitting in her high chair and putting her banana puffs and yogurt bites in her mouth all by herself! She also started drinking out of a sippy cup... That is still a little tricky since its harder for her to hold then a bottle. But she is getting the hang of it!!

Eddie said we have to start letting her go to sleep on her own. No more holding her until she falls asleep and then putting her to bed. He said we are making a monster child by letting her do whatever she wants and by letting her get her way all the time. I say as long as she is respectful when she is older and knows mom is waaayyy cooler then dad then who cares lol.

But he may have a point so we started yesterday with putting her down for a nap at 12:15 for a nap while she is still awake and it only takes about 30-45 minutes of screaming and me biting my nails before she falls asleep on her own :(

And the doctor said we should start reading to her every night. So we read a few books last night. She fell asleep before she even ate her bottle lol. So she woke up after laying in bed for a few minutes and then she came back out and ate and then we read a few more books before finally going to sleep.

We have been blessed with such a beautiful angel for a daughter and I couldn't be happier to be living this life of mine :)

Relaxing weekend

This weekend we have done a lot of napping and cuddling here at home. Tegan was fussy yesterday and wasn't feeling to hot and neither was I! So we snuggled all day and took lots of naps! She must be going through a growth spurt because all she wants to do is nap!

She has been trying so hard to say "dada" She says it sometimes (we think) but she wont say it if we ask her to lol. She is her mothers child for sure!!

We went on Friday for our 6month well baby check. She is in the 90th percentile for length and 80th for weight! She is a healthy baby girl! She is going to be tall like her daddy I think!

Nothing makes my heart melt more then her smiles! And lately thats all she has for me is smiles :) We are so lucky!!

Go Big Red

What a busy day!!

We went with the daycare kids to McDonalds for lunch today! We all played for 2 hours!! Lots of worn out kids :)

Then Tegan, my mom and I went to the basketball tourny down town East vs Waukee. East won 68 to 39 wooo hoo :) Tegan wore a huge button that said "GO BIG RED!!" So cute. And when the kids section started cheering she started yelling Ahh ahh ahh lol!! She watches Daddy play basketball all the time and her and i watch basketball all the time on tv too! She is hooked!!

She has been really snuggly lately! And she pretty much just wants her mommy :) Not that I am complaining!!

Pitiful Baby girl

Today was a lot better when it came to the cough and the runny nose. I used saline drops to suck her nose but she hates that :( Now she has extremely bad diaper rash on top of it all. It was a rough night, she didn't want to poop at all poor baby. Aunt Charlie was really helpful though thank God she had some prescription diaper ointment that hopefully will clear up the problem in the next few days. Once she finally let herself poop she was in such a better mood. Playing and laughing. Her laughs melt my heart. And she laughs so easily. Chloey bit her tonight... She is such a booger sometimes with those teeth of hers! She will learn sooner then later I think that being a bully never works out. Tegan is already her size and weight and will soon be mobile and then Chloey is in for a rude awakening! Tegan will be a beast and will be chasing her around getting her payback lol.

We went for a nice long walk this afternoon after Sage woke up from a nap and that fresh air and warm weather was really helpful with getting rid of all the sniffles we both were having problems with! Ludo (our boxer)  was a maniac. It has been forever since we have been outside together and on a walk. Usually his outside activities consist of me opening the back door and him running out to do his business and then racing back inside as fast as he can because it has been such a cold winter!

Tomorrow we will be Lysoling the whole house we had the windows open today hopefully we can get all the "ick" out and let the healthy spring begin :)

Teen mom 2 is over, Charlie and Chloey went home and the hubby got home from work. Tegan has been fast asleep for over an hour (no coughing spells yet fingers crossed) I hate when she is sick but then again she is super snuggly, not that she isn't a great snuggler regardless :)

Poor Baby

Poor Tegan, Mommy and daddy missed you like crazy all weekend!! And now you are sick! You have a pitiful cough and a really runny nose and poor thing has a sore bum now too. We gave you a long bath and you played and soaked and started to feel a lot better! Now you are sleeping like the little angel that you are! I love you so much it never gets old watching you sleep in my arms. Daddy was hogging you tonight. He was trying to teach you how to crawl and he was snuggling you until you fell asleep :) He has been working nights and he was home really early tonight so he got to put you to bed like old times! You're favorite time of night is when it is time for snuggling and a bed time bottle, especially if it is with daddy!!
